In the first chapter of the Book of Romans, the apostle Paul chronicles the descent of man from the knowledge of God to idolatry, to sexual immorality, to destruction. In it he uses a striking phrase: "Professing themselves to be wise, They became fools..." The picture Paul presents is one of continual degradation, man worshiping animals, then descending into sexual immorality, that includes the twisting and nullifying of gender. We live in the most technologically sophisticated age in the history of man, having more knowledge, more information, more data, and more power than any other generation before us. And yet, our generation, as those that are in Romans 1, professing themselves to be woke, awakened, and enlightened, they now have attained the wisdom of a fruit fly. In universities across America, as well as in Europe, professors have been investigated, disciplined, punished, or fired for committing a shocking crime. What was the crime? Stating that there exists two genders - male and female! In response to one of these cases, J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter and also known as a left-wing radical feminist, came to the support of the female professor who said that there are two genders. As a result, Rowling was attacked by trans-activists and LGBT organizations who enlisted stars of the Harry Potter movies to further attack Rowling. Enter David Chappelle a comedian known to tread into controversial waters. In a recent HBO special he said that he supported Rowling in her stand that there are clearly two genders, male and female. Such an inflammatory statement triggered a firestorm of attacks. Trans-activists demanded that HBO cancel his special for daring to state that there are two genders. USA Today ran a lengthy article calling for his special to be cancelled for such a heretical statement. The phenomenon is not limited to college professors, celebrity authors, or comedians. Students who said that there are only two genders have been expelled from schools. Platforms like Twitter have suspended the accounts of those who dared to affirm the two genders on the internet. What does this mean? As the most technologically and scientifically advanced generation in human history we have become the dumbest. To not be able to discern the division of life into male and female indicates a severe pathology. How can something so absolute and obvious become suddenly unknown? It goes back to the Scriptures. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools..." God is Truth and Reality. When you turn away from Him, it won't be long until you leave both truth and reality. If anything, this only tells us how true the Word of God is. Do not be intimidated by the blindness of the woke. Pray for them to see. But be strong in the truth and bold in proclaiming the Word of God. And may God greatly bless you this month as you do.
