Jesus: The Salvation of God
For my eyes have seen Your salvation.
And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.
Jesus is called the Salvation of God, a title first given to Him in Isaiah 52:10. Simeon, an old man waiting in the Temple for the Messiah, called the baby Jesus the Salvation of God (Luke 2:30). Then John the Baptist, when preaching in the wilderness, called Jesus the Salvation of God (Luke 3:6). Notice, Jesus “had come from God” (John 13:3); therefore, Jesus brings salvation from God to Earth.
Lord Jesus, I thank You for coming into this world with salvation from the Father. I thank You for bringing salvation to me.
Jesus is the Salvation of God from your past sins; they cannot be charged against you. Jesus is the Salvation of God from your present sins; so don’t be an addict to sin nor let the power of sin keep you in bondage. Jesus is the Salvation of God for your future sins. “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7). You must deal with all sin—past, present and future—according to 1 John 1:9, which shows the progression from confession to forgiveness to cleansing. And finally, Jesus is the Salvation of God who will remove us from the presence of sin in eternity. There is coming a day when we’ll live in Heaven, never to struggle with sin again.
Jesus, You are my Salvation of God. I claim You for total salvation in every area of my life. Save me now, and save me in the future. Amen.
Jesus comes from God for your complete salvation.
