The story of Joseph reveals him as a foreshadow of Messiah. Genesis 39:22 says, "when he was put into prison, he was made leader of it; responsible for whatever was done there." In Hebrew it reads, whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. It's ultimately the foreshadow of Messiah, of salvation. Messiah became the doer of our deeds. Whatever we did in sin, He became the doer of it. It was imputed to Him. It's amazing; He became as the doer of our deeds...a perfect foreshadow. He became as the doer of our sins that we would become the doer of His righteousness. Our deeds were imputed to Him, but now His deeds can be imputed to us. Let His good deeds become your good deeds. Let His righteousness become yours. Just as your sins became His, now let His deeds of love, and His actions of compassion become yours, for He became the doer of our sins that we would become the doer of His righteousness. Let the work of Messiah come through you now. Let it be counted as yours as you do the work of the Lord.

Fill your day in doing the works of the Lord. Do your works in His doing and let Him do His doing in yours.
