The Holy Spirit: The Same Spirit of Faith
And since we have the same spirit of faith,
according to what is written,
"I believed and therefore I spoke,"
we also believe and therefore speak.
The Holy Spirit gave you the gift of faith when you believed in Christ for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9). The Holy Spirit is the Same Spirit of Faith who now builds up your daily faith to live the Christian life. The Scriptures instruct, “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). So, He will give you strength and character to live by faith. If you want more faith, ask Him now, because He is the Same Spirit of Faith.
Holy Spirit, I want to walk daily by faith. Help me not to rely on the flesh but to depend on Your power. Pick me up when I fall; prod me when I slow down; and when I stray, pull me back onto the straight and narrow path.
The Holy Spirit is the Same Spirit of Faith as He has always been. As He helped Abraham live by faith, so He can help you live above your temptations. As He helped Moses lead the multitude by faith, so He can help you follow the Lord today. As He helped David rule his kingdom by faith, so He can help you manage your life and tasks today. As He helped Paul evangelize, so He can help you share your testimony today. What is your greatest need? He is the Same Spirit of Faith who has worked in the past; He can give you faith to live today.
Holy Spirit, I am only average. Help me live above average today. Help me do things above average today. Help me live by faith and not by sight. Amen.
