Jesus: A Name No One Knew
He had a name written that no one knew
Jesus has a Name No One Knew. This means that no one knows His hidden name, not even you. Even though you may want to know His secret name, you can’t know it, because He has not told anyone—some things only God knows. At His return, there will still be a mystery about Jesus’ nature that you cannot understand. Why? Because no finite human can comprehend the infinite God. So don’t worry about what you don’t know; rather, respond quickly to what you do know about Jesus’ names. His name is “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6)—and those are only a few of His names found in only one verse in the Bible.
Jesus, I realize I can’t know, nor will I ever know, all about You; but I know I worship You as King of kings and Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16).
Jesus has a Name No One Knew. This means that there could be more than one name you don’t know. Just as His names that you know reveal the unique characteristics of Jesus, His unknowable names reflect things about Him that you can never know. That’s because Jesus is God, and you are human. But trust what you know about Jesus and obey what He wants you to do.
Jesus, I don’t know everything about You; but what I know, I love, I trust, I worship. I will obey You as my Master. Amen.
