  Dear Father God,

   

  How holy is Your name.

   

  This song is my first request to You on this new day...

   

  Spirit of the Living God,

  fall afresh on me.

   

  May I go about this day aware of Your presence surrounding me.

   

  I thank you that Your mercies are new every morning...

   

  Through the Lord ’s mercies we are not consumed,

  Because His compassions fail not.

  They are new every morning,

  Great is Your faithfulness.

  Lamentations 3:22-23

   

  Thank You Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us, for coming so that I may have life and have it more abundantly in You...

   

  I have come that they may have life,

  and that they may have it more abundantly.

  John 10:10

   

  I pray for those who are experiencing loneliness and loss this Christmas, that You will be their Comforter and their Healer.

   

  I pray for those who are feeling vulnerable and lost, that You will be their Guide and their Shelter.

   

  I pray for those who are anxious and uncertain, that You will be their Shepherd and their Hope.

   

  Thank You Emmanuel, God with us, for being the one and only God, our God who comes for us.

   

  Thank You for surrounding me with reminders of your faithfulness—in the beauty of this new day, in the love of my family and friends, and in the promise of the coming spring that You promise even in the heart of winter.

   

  With all my gratitude I pray, in the good name of Jesus,
