Coffee Time with Jesus (Yeshua)
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all,
first being translated "king of righteousness,"
and then also king of Salem,
Jesus is the King of Peace; no one can have peace apart from Him, because He is the original source of peace. While on earth, Jesus could calm tremendous storms, for He had power over nature’s violence. Jesus also set many people free because He had power over all things. Jesus can give you peace when you’re in the eye of a hurricane of circumstances. He can give you freedom and an inner calm when you receive His peace. When you let Him sit on the throne of your heart, the King of Peace works all things together for good for you (Romans 8:28). What do you need today?
Jesus, I look to You for peace. While I may not be responsible for all the troubles in my life, I am at least responsible for my reaction to them. Lord, help me to live in peace, the way You want me to live.
Satan is the author of confusion, strife, and violence; but Jesus brings peace, and He rules by peace. When you are anxious and upset, you are not in the center of Jesus' will. When Jesus controls your life, you will experience His-control, and you can enter the center of His will. Will you invite King Jesus to sit on the throne of your heart today?
Jesus, teach me to look at trouble through Your eyes. Show me how to live in Your peace when things around me are coming apart. I invite You to control my life and bring peace to my heart. Amen.
You’ll receive peace when Jesus controls your life.
