    Coffee Time with Jesus (Yeshua)
    Jesus: Our Peace
For He Himself is our peace,
    who has made both one,
and has broken down the middle wall of separation.
    Ephesians 2:14

Most people think that peace is the cessation of war or that peace is doing something enjoyable, such as sitting by a lake or enjoying mountain scenery. These illustrations reflect only one kind of idyllic peace, but the word “peace” means “to join two opposing forces.” Jesus is our Peace because He joined us to the Father. When you were opposed to the Father in selfish rebellion, Jesus joined you to Him. When the Father could not accept you because of your sin, Jesus was our Peace who turned the Father toward you and you toward Him.

Lord Jesus, You are my Peace. I’ve come to the Father through You. Now I need to trust You to bring peace to my surroundings. Come give peace to my world.

Jesus is our Peace who can give us an inner calm to deal with the pressures of this day. When you let “the peace of God rule in your hearts” (Colossians 3:15), you can adequately deal with circumstances. Invite Jesus to come control your life; He knows your future and what will happen. He can guide you, protect you, and give you victory in the future. When you let Jesus control your life, He gives you inward peace; He calms your worries, and He gives you meaningful direction.

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me peace with God so that I am saved. Also, thank You for inner peace to control my thoughts and life. I yield to Your will for today. Amen.
