Inspecting Your Fruit
Tuesday, December 17, 2024
I'm a novice when it comes to the fruit and produce section at the supermarket. So, I eye the fruit, hold it up, move it around, apply the pressure, and throw it back. I haven't the slightest idea what I'm doing, but it looks professional. But as believers, we have to learn to be good at fruit inspection. In the Lord, fruit is very important. In fact, it's essential. In Galatians, we're told that the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are to be the primary fruits that are to come out of your life; not anger, bitterness, selfishness, impurity, jealousy, lust, pride, fear, or discord. So, what are the true fruits of your life? It's time to do some fruit inspection. Take a good honest look, eye them over, lift them up, examine them, test them, apply the pressure, and see if they're good and true. If not, throw them back and do whatever you have to do until the fruits of your life will hold up on the day of judgment in the hands of The Final Fruit Inspector.
