The Habits of God
Friday, December 20, 2024
Luke 4:16 says, 'As was His custom, He (Messiah) entered the synagogue on the Sabbath.' It was His custom. There are bad customs and traditions, but there are also good ones. If Messiah had customs, and we're to live in imitation of His life, then we also have to have good, holy customs, and godly habits. Start developing good habits and customs, such as the habit of daily prayer, daily time in the Word, and the daily doing of good works. Practice the habit of saying no to temptation and anything else questionable. Make it a habit and your priority to share the Gospel, not compromise, and apply the Word to your life every day. Develop a zeal for the habit of forgiveness, joy, peace, faithfulness, gentleness, and goodness. Let it be said of you and of your time on earth that you followed the good, became good, and did good all the days of your life as was your custom.
