When The Teacher got out of His Seat
Friday, February 7, 2025
For my 9 years old piano recital, I played a piano duet with my teacher. It was the Third movement of Haydn's Piano Concerto in C. It was an impressive piece. At the end, I stood up and received a thunderous standing ovation. It was a childhood moment of glory. As I went back to my seat, I remember seeing my teacher standing up to give me honor. One stands up in honor for one's teacher, but your teacher isn't supposed to stand up for you. But in the Book of Acts, something extraordinary happens. Steven is about to be stoned to death. He looks up to heaven and sees Messiah standing at the right hand of God. What is strange about this? The Scripture says Messiah is sitting at the right hand of God. So, for Him to be standing means that He got up out of His seat in honor of His student. To have your Teacher honor you is an awesome thing. You are the student of your Teacher, Messiah. Live such a life that it will cause your Teacher to get out of His seat!
