Your Greatest Battle
Thursday, February 20, 2025
David was a great warrior who fought many battles. But his greatest battle was fought after having fallen into sin with Bathsheba. When the prophet Nathan exposed his two great sins, David wept in remorse and his battle began. In that battle, he had to acknowledge, confess, and repent of his sin, and then be able to accept God's forgiveness and grace, to receive God's love, and then be able to accept that God was still faithful to him even though he had been faithless. This was the battle David fought the remaining days of his life. So, too, your greatest battle has nothing to do with guns or people. It has to do with you and God and staying close to His heart. It's about truly accepting His grace and His love. We know that David won the battle because Scripture records that he was a man after God's own heart. You be the same; fight your good fight of faith, take hold of His love, and believe in His grace even over your own sins. Believe His love, and you will be as triumphant as King David.
