Dear Father God,
Thank You for Your Word, The Bible, and for the guidance and truth it speaks into my life.
I want to know You more with each day, as I set aside time to read my Bible and to let Your words rest upon my lips, in my mind, and in my heart...
Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105
I want to be more like You, my Lord.
Please mold my heart to be more giving and loving.
I pray that I will be slow to speak and quick to listen...
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:
Everyone should be quick to listen,
slow to speak and slow to become angry,
because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
James 1:19-20
Help me to develop the spiritual fruit of patience, so generously nurtured by Your Holy Spirit.
Please forgive me for the many times I have fallen short of Your perfect ways.
Each day I will continue to choose You and seek Your ways over mine...
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
