It is written, "Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise." These words contain a secret and a key. To enter the gates of the Lord, you need the keys of the Lord. So, the Scripture can be understood as saying, "The only way you will truly enter the gates of the Lord is with thanksgiving." Giving thanks is the key that unlocks the gates of the Lord. It doesn't matter what's blocking you, if you give thanks to God, you will start entering. When you give thanks, it's impossible to be gloomy and impossible to worry. When you give thanks, it's impossible to dwell in condemnation. When you give thanks, you can't be unhappy. When you give thanks, you enter His joy and His peace.
