  • The Whispering Snake
    Thursday, March 6, 2025

Nahash is the Hebrew word for serpent or snake. It sounds like someone is whispering. And it literally means, the whisperer. In the Bible, the serpent is the embodiment of the enemy. Thus the enemy is a whisperer. He works in a subtleness. He begins with a whisper. He whispers an idea. A thought comes into your mind. If you go with it, the whisper will become a sin, then an action, then a habit, then a lifestyle, and then a destiny. So how do you fight the enemy? You fight the temptation when it's just a whisper or a notion. You fight the whisper of anger, fight the whisper of lust, and fight the whisper of doing what you know is wrong. Drown out the whisper with the Word of God. Take the Word of God and proclaim it over yourself and your life. Repeat it, and you will drown out the whisper and have victory over the whisperer.
