Yesterday morning while I was sitting and having coffee with family, Sushu kitty came in with a baby sparrow in her mouth.
She brought the baby sparrow to me, set the baby down, and told me she wanted me to check it over.
I picked the baby up, checked it over and it was alive, with no physical marks of injury.
I believe that the baby sparrow must have just fallen from the nest and got knocked out.
I held it close, giving warmth and love for a couple of minutes.
The baby sparrow woke up and chirped at me.
I comforted the baby sparrow and it was working fair but not providing all the peace the baby required.
Waldo kitty, who has been watching this take place, jumps up on my lap and lays down against the baby sparrow .
The baby immediately cuddles in underneath Waldo and goes to sleep in peace.
After a couple of minutes the baby comes out, chirps at Waldo for a bit, then turns to me and chirps for a bit, showing love and appreciation for what we are doing.
I sat with the baby sparrow for a while and took it for a walk in my open hand around the yard while feeling for what it was asking of me.
First it wanted on the ground, I put my had on the ground and it hopped off.
The baby sparrow walked around for a bit but decided this was not a good place to be and hopped back on my hand, it was frightened again.
I carried the baby sparrow around in my open hand until it was at peace again.
I then talked to the baby sparrow about the apple tree and that it would be safe to rest in a branch.
I placed my hand next to the branch and it stepped onto the branch.
The baby sparrow began to sing, absolutely glorious, for about 10 minutes and flew away happy.
Today this morning, I watch it sing and give love to the world.
Thank you Dao for this wonderful gift of life.
May we all hear the call of the earth.
May we bring peace to all.
