Not one single religious movement is divinely approved as authoritative from god. Not one philosophy is completely perfect and right. Not one religion is entirely true. In the earliest days of man, man kept an oral tradition, verbally passing down their knowledge. The earliest accounts we have of writing in some cultures are accounts of people and crops and items of possession. It was not until later that man, with their fallible knowledge started to recall the stories passed down from old and the legends that happened on earth. I find it no coincidence that the earliest writings we have so far date to about 3000 bce, and the Kali yuga mentioned in Hinduism begins 3195 bce.
Within modern religion when you honestly ask questions about life and compare and bring to understanding the different teachings, there is still not one ultimate divine truth sent from above.
There are bits and pieces of truth that encompass the whole aspect of man's search for meaning. Different shades and different aspects can be seen, some have more bits of truth than others, but are still fallible
So when I use the word occult knowledge, I am not trying to present the idea that the occult is divinely inspired or that I am divinely inspired in some way appointed by a god figure to lead authoritatively. It is simply just not the case.
I have found, through 20+ years of investigating spirituality, that there are basic truths and ways of man that can be emphasized on with occult mindset. The word occult popularaly means hidden or secret knowledge. This originally came from the Germanic word for occult. The medical definition of occult is not readily discernible signs or symptoms. Basically the same principle but without the idea of some type of divine authority of some secret club throughout the centuries that passes down knowledge.
Within this perspective seeing occult truth within standards we see that morality of standard mundane day to day activity does not change. We still do not kill or steal. We still do not assault people or vandalize. We don't do things because of the consequences. Cause and effect. It's a basic unavoidable principle accross the spectrum of all religion that if somebody does those things there are consequences for actions.
An occult teaching that has become popular that teaches this basic principle in different ways is karma. Karma teaches essentially that what goes around comes around.
Another truth is the idea of consciousness. Different people are consciously or non consciously aware at different levels. People are aware at one time with externalization and second person perspective what they said at one time may not be the case of what they believe at another time, and realize about how crazy something even sounded and may regret things and say, I wish I never had said that.
Someone might not realize how they are. Drug addictions greatly cloud the perspective of a persons consciousness. They may not on several occasions, realize how they are when they are on drugs. Others may see this and look at them and ask the question, how could people even live with themselves like that?
As human beings at one level or another we are consciously aware. This I believe is a teaching that can be gleamed from Genesis chapter 3 that portrays man's "fall", which I believe the majority of the world has not looked into the truer meanings and aspects of this process. People rarely look to the last verse in chapter 3 where it confirms basically what Satan presents mankind with and the effects of the knowledge of good and evil.
Within the occult framework of thinking much truth can be gleamed. A big picture of the occult mind is thinking outside the box and being open minded and non judgemental about someone's studies and investigations. One must remind themselves that what they study and investigate may not be the view of someone else, and respect the others individual liberties and free will to learn and make mistakes and understand all on their own two feet.
Within a satanist perspective, a key to being a satanist is sticking with a framework of a perspective. A simple truth accross all mythologies is that there are deities that are for mankind, and there are deities against mankind. A Christian classically would define Satan as an antagonist and malevolent towards mankind. A satanist would see Satan as the protagonist.
One thing I learned through my time in recovery is accepting things that I cannot control. Letting things take care of themselves. The major world Christian view of Satan being an evil bad guy is not my job to change and get all gung-ho and Constantine on people for forced conversion. People have to accept on their own terms and conditions and with their own free will recognize their own calling. Accepting the things that I can control, about how I designate myself and my responses to people, and about how I act in the world, is also key to spiritual health and recovery.
It is my hope through my activity here on this blog and in my personal live that I can provide encouragement to those who are on their path of study and exploration, and reveal insights that I have learned to help them within their life endeavors. I hope to be a benefit. Not a hindrance to someone who might be in a hurting place, who needs counsel on spiritual levels.
I hope everyone has blessed holidays. Thanks for reading.
