As a term, I first heard and saw this as the name of Sid Roth's show and his
contributions.
What actually means "supernatural" ?
There we experience something, which is just not natural and therefore rather not
explainable - at least from the point of view of our current knowledge.
How is our (Christian) faith to be understood in this context ?
If I start from my personal development of faith, I have actually made only good
experiences. Of course my understanding of childhood has developed until today -
otherwise it would be really questionable. And still - our faith has secrets, has
unpredictable things, raises questions that are first "in the room" and often will
remain unanswered.
Does this make me unhappy and gullible ?
No - not me, because I don't have to question everything in life and I got confidence,
above all, however, realizations which showed me in the course of the decades that
the "Supernatural" means it well with me and actually leads to solutions which I did
not understand at first always, however, in the retrospect really learned to appreciate.
God the Father sacrificed his son. At the same moment, the curtain in the sanctuary
was torn down, so that through Jesus we gained direct access to God, something
that had been unthinkable before.
Why have we been granted this "solution" ?
Because God loves us humans ?
We have to accept it, no other reason is apparent. Of course we may doubt all this,
but why ? Because we don't want to or can't accept help ? God accepts us as we
are - this is already "supernatural". We are allowed to get involved and are not even
obliged to give something in return.
To be thankful has certainly already been laid in our cradle by our upbringing. If we
then support and pass on God's thoughts and goals (in whatever way), we come
closer to our tasks as Christians (and those who might want to become Christians).
I greet you,
wish you all a good week
and “say“, see you soon.
Peter
