Dear Friends,
days are like the sand in an hourglass that is in motion. Individual grains can be
seen, but then disappear in the mass, to finally make their special "appearance"
in the metered flow through the “eye of a needle".
For us, too, individual days always have a very special meaning, which then, however,
often gets lost in the haze of the past.
For more than 37 years now I have been writing a diary every day, which is often
helpful when I want to retrieve one of the past "grains of sand". When you look back,
you realize for yourself how quickly something is forgotten. This also has its meaning,
because it contributes to the discharge of the "storage capacity" of our brain, so that
new things of our wonderful world can be taken up and experienced.
And yet the diary also has the task of a piece of the mosaic that keeps us aware of
how transient, but significant everything in life is and was.
It is nice that we can actually all participate in the shaping of our life time, if we then
also use it wisely and in mutual respect.
I greet you all warmly, enjoy Sunday and
the "grains of sand" of the coming week.
Maybe you write them down to be able to enjoy them again later.
See you soon.
Peter
