Every situation, crisis, or challenge that I have encountered has prepared me for what I am destined to do, help others. I believe that what we love to do is what we are destined to do. But it does not come easy; there is often a fight to stay the course, a battle of the mind.
At one time in my life, I had a spiritual mentor, and I remember sharing my desire with him to help people overcome life challenges. He said that I would have to go through a lot of things in order to accomplish my heart's desire.
At some point we will all go through a valley experience; a situation that you cannot overcome on your own, it may be an addiction, health, finances, or legal issues. During my training, I was taught to endure hardship as a good soldier. We often think of a soldier as someone in the military, but a soldier is simply defined as a skilled warrior. God gives us the skills that we need to attain and maintain our dream. So often it is accomplished through overcoming life challenges.
No matter where you are, wake up and find something to be grateful for. Learn to endure hardship as a good soldier, knowing that you are being prepared for something much greater.
