The name of the Lord is a strong tower, and the righteous run in, and they find safety. Simply stated, a Lord is a person who has authority. A tower is something that embodies strength, firmness, or another virtue. On your way to achieving your dream, when you don’t know what to do, and your faith is low, run to the strong tower.
“For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may get mercy, and find grace to help in time of need”.
It takes a lot to stay the course and believe in your dreams, especially when things aren’t going as you planned. I believe our heart’s desires and dreams are from God, and He has a plan for us to reach them. It can challenge us because we don’t know that plan, but we walk by faith and not by sight.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
During my spiritual journey to reach my dream, I had seasons of challenges. I became frustrated when my dream seemed unreachable. The best advice I received was from one of my spiritual mentors. He told me to stop questioning the why, the how, and when. When we ask, "why am I going through this challenge? How will I reach my dream and when will I reach my dream?" We open the door for doubt and despair. Having a mindset of doubt and despair opens the door to fear, and fear is the opposite of faith.
“But without faith, it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”
The dream that God has placed in your heart is a gift and can help others. You are being prepared in ways that you may not understand, and it is clearly a walk of faith. The walk of faith we take on the way to our dream sets the stage for the faith we need to sustain our dream. God has placed this dream and vision in you so leave the how, the why, and when to Him. There are days you may feel like the burdens are too much to bear; on those days turn to God, your strong tower.
