Every Warrior Wins

    If God is For Us!

Moses was raised in an Egyptian household by an Egyptian woman, the daughter of Pharaoh. He witnessed the mistreatment of the Children of Israel that were slaves. Moses condemned this type of behavior and defended a slave by murdering the taskmaster. After that incident, he left Egypt. Years later, God sent him back to Egypt to stand against Pharaoh and lead the Children of Israel to the Promised Land.

Oppression is malicious, unjust treatment or misuse of power. It is often under the guise of authority. It is overt or covert, depending on how it is practice.

Like Moses, God may call us to stand against an oppressor: someone who treats people in an unfair, cruel way and prevents them from having opportunities and freedom, burdens them spiritually or mentally, and weigh heavily upon them. When oppressed, we only see ourselves as the target. But as God used Moses, God will use us to expose a wrong so that life will be better for the next man, the next woman, or the next generation. He uses us to expose wrongs so that others will not suffer.

We recognize that we are commissioned by God when we can only win the battle by the power of God (divine intervention). Moses used the power of God to defeat Pharaoh.

For the believer, when God commissions us, we are often tested to stand for what is right. There is peace in our hearts that allows us to follow God's direction and know that we will only win by trusting and obeying Him. Although we choose to follow God, the forces against us do not willfully concede. Therefore, we must remain steadfast and unmovable. If God is for us, He is more than the whole world against us. When you have done all that you can, God will do the rest
