War is a word that reminds humankind suffering, pain, and sorrow. Many have lost their beloved persons as a result of war. People experience moral and physical pain taking part in war actions or living in circumstances of military time. The war has caused grievous harm to innocent children, men, and women. Many women have become widows and suffered from being raped. Children have lost their parents. This purchase persuasive essay aims at finding arguments to refute the statement that war causes more suffering for women. It analyzes three articles in the field of social sciences to support the aim of paper.
Women are regarded as weak sex, who cannot participate in wars. However, according to Laura Yao, in her article "Women Face Front Line, Earn Medals in Iraq War," it is a wrong statement. The author has written about experience of women who showed their bravery and courage participating in the military actions. According to Laura, many women are competing with men in the battlefield, and as such, obtaining badges because of better performance during war. The author gave an example of women who were deployed to fight in Afghanistan. Therefore, the article reveals that women have evolved to stand up for themselves and fight against enemies. Laura outlines that women have shown minimal fear on the battlefield and behaved like rattlesnakes that bite being attacked. During the World War I, in the United Kingdom, women were urged to help men in the battlefield, and they performed their duties well. Women’s knowledge of encouraging men to fight helped to clinch victory. This was clearly demonstrated during the 1994 war between Iraq and Afghanistan. Women proved to have the same fighting skills like men. For example, Jessica Hoelting Reed fought together alongside men and went as far as attaining the medal. Maj. Gen. Roger Lempke of the Nebraska National Guard admired women who had fought in harsh conditions of the war. According to him, such women could be hired during war outbreaks. It is evident that women have acquired the same knowledge as men and can work in any field despite the harsh conditions. Even though, Laura emphasized that women were not associated with war. Men felt that women could not be relied on during this crucial time. Laura pointed out that women have been working in the military as nurses, who diagnosed those who had been injured. In addition, women worked as cooks as well as spies. Despite their hard work, women were never promoted that affected their dignity.
Conclusively, Laura outlines that women have fought and showed their brave spirit during the war. This has proved that females can safeguard their rights and, thus, should not be labeled as weak sex. This has proved beyond doubts that women do not suffer more than men during the war. They can control their feelings and adapt to different even tragic situations.
Women have been rated to be at the same pace with men. According to Jennie Ruby, women have been denied the respect to work in the military. This has sparked mixed reactions between various male and female politicians. Jennie claims that women have gained the ability of understanding and knowledge to fight alongside men. This author claims that women can get many leading positions in various sectors. Jennie argues that it is the right time that men accept the fact that women have started gaining knowledge and can compete with men in different spheres. However, this has been rejected by men who fear that women cannot succeed in war despite the proven facts. According to Jennie, women have gained general knowledge of combat and won numerous medals. However, this has brought controversies. According to the studies, this aspect causes women to be more masculine. With this regards, many women have adorned masculinity as they chase ambition. As stated by Jennie, women do not afraid to fight at the forefront during the war. They are ready to experience suffering and pain as men do.
Studies also reveal that women do not compete effectively in military sector. This aspect has opted for different organizations to retrench them. A research, which was done by Mackubin Thomas, indicates that women are being retrenched in the military because of their feminist status including height and muscle mass. According to Mackubin, women are shorter than men and, thus, have the required pace and body strength. This entails that women can actively participate in war like their male counterparts. These issues have also been rendered useless by various military officials who have women in their camps. A militant is usually perceived to have a dominant force. Therefore, many people believe that a woman is less powerful. Thomas points out that retrenchment occurs because women are driven by emotions, which are highly prohibited in war. He also points out another reason that is during the war period, men have relationships with women. These relationships have been identified to cause morale degradation and affect the concept of teamwork. This aspect of refuting women to participate in war does not lower the aspirations of women, as they have been noted to be highly involved in military duties.
Thomas has brought out the notion that women have become very efficient in the military. This, however, is affected by various factors like height and muscle mass. The author clearly states that women have adapted to fight during war, despite all the threats that they could face during that period.
Michael Brower, in his article, argued that women should not be considered for military jobs. Michael explains that there is a higher probability woman to be killed during military actions comparing to their male counterpart. According to MG Jessica Wright, it is not about the gender but the service of the nation. Ms. Wright congratulates all women who participates in the battlefield and brands them as warriors. Michael, in his studies, notes that women’s knowledge is on the rise and, thus, they should not be hired as militants.

Analyzed arguments of researchers have proved the fact that women are not weaker than men. They are strong to overcome suffering, pain and even assist men during military actions.
