We have eyes and do not see.
Kempis, The Imitation of Christ
Do any of us really see what is in front of our faces, or have we grown so used to everything that blind to almost everything? We get is such a hurry, and so focused on some task we need to accomplish, that we don't really see anything. Add to that the whole issue of having our heads buried in our smart phones, tablets, TVs, etc., and it's plain to see that we are like horses with blinders on, perhaps even blindfolded. We are missing out on so many things and we don't even realize it. We need to make the effort to slow down, open our eyes, and give ourselves a chance to see the complex world God has placed us in and the things he is accomplishing while we sleepwalk through life.
