Letters to the Faithful – Romans 1:10

  • Berean Standard Bible

in my prayers at all times, asking that now at last by God’s will I may succeed in coming to you.

To the faithful ones across every land, called to be saints, grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, for your faith is proclaimed far and wide, shining as a light in a darkened world. Your faithfulness has not gone unnoticed, for it is a testimony to the power of the gospel, which is the very power of God unto salvation for all who believe. It is with joy and gratitude that I remember you in my prayers, lifting you up before the throne of grace and seeking every good thing on your behalf.

“Always in my prayers, making request, if by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you” (Romans 1:10). How often this desire swells within me—to see you face-to-face, to share in the fellowship of the Spirit, to be strengthened together by the mutual encouragement that comes through faith! Yet I am reminded that our steps are ordered by the Lord, and in His sovereign wisdom, He directs our paths according to His perfect timing and purpose.

Beloved, as we await the fulfillment of all that God has planned, let us not grow weary but continue steadfastly in the work of the kingdom. In the trials and challenges you face, stand firm in the knowledge that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Do not be dismayed by the troubles of this world, for they are but light and momentary afflictions, preparing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.

Be diligent, therefore, to walk worthy of the calling to which you have been called. Let your love abound more and more, in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may discern what is best and be pure and blameless for the day of Christ. Love one another deeply from the heart, forgiving as you have been forgiven, and bearing with one another in patience and humility. For by this all will know that you are Christ’s disciples, if you have love for one another.

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to hold fast to the hope set before you. Cling to the promises of God, which are sure and steadfast, an anchor for the soul. Let the Word of God dwell richly in you, transforming your mind and equipping you for every good work. In the face of opposition, stand firm in the armor of God, praying at all times in the Spirit. Remember that you are more than conquerors through Him who loved us, and nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

May the Lord grant open doors for the proclamation of the gospel, and may your lives be a testimony to His grace and truth. Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the Word of life, so that in the day of Christ we may rejoice together, knowing that our labor has not been in vain.

Beloved, as you run the race set before you, let your hearts be filled with joy and thanksgiving. Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. May your faith be strengthened, your hope renewed, and your love abound, as you press on toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. May His Spirit guide you, His peace uphold you, and His love fill you, now and always.
