This is an open Sanctuary, with a purpose to give a place to stay for those that have lost their homes, due to loss of job, with our economy. This is our way of being in service to our fellow human beings during a time in their lives they can become very lost within & without. There are no homeless shelters, or soup kitchens here in this part of North East Missouri, & yet a greater need for such that does not get address in this area, & why the idea for this sanctuary was a calling & therefore seeds planted & born. There is no cost to stay. We do except, free will gifts, in the forms of financial gift, blankets, sheets, towels, personal hygine products, cleaning products, for the patrons, do clean up after themselves, it aids in keeping with building their own self-esteem, in the knowing that all is not lost,We aid them with Spiritual Council when it is requested but not a must. We hold group sessions that anyone is encourage to attend but is there again not a must. We aid in getting them connected to the closest other community aids & programs that are available, such as Workforce Centers, Re-vocational training, or even Student Aid, at the closest Community Colleges if that is something that they feel that path leading them in to get back up on their feet. We see it as a hand up, not a hand out, this why,- We also provide a community garden that patrons that stay here can attend to. Most do, for the getting their hands into nature & the planting of seeds knowing something good can grow of it often begins a healing process within & without we have witness over & over. We are also reaching out for building materials for a fence to put around the garden to keep animals out, that can & have caused somethings to be replaneted, of which for this year, planting season is almost finished. The community garden is 256 ft. by 500 ft. so yes, it does quite a bit of ground, but the early plants that will be ready soon will also be used to feed the patrons that come to us, as well as be donated to the other local people that struggling in this area of the country. Also as a Service to any & all in our community here, I do perform weddings. I do not put a fee on performing weddings, but as all else that I do I Any & all free will gifts would be so appreciated with God's & our very heart felt Blessings Abound.
Sincerely May Creator/God Blessed all with enough to spare;
That all may be so Blessed with enough to share;
