I'm a gay man and a former Roman Catholic priest (in a religious order for over 20 years). Having officiated at many weddings in the past - I have experience and a unique background, especially for the sensibilities and concerns that Catholic gay men/women may have in tying the knot.
Although no longer affiliated in any way with the Catholic Church, I am currently registered (since 2009) as a Wedding Officiant with the New York Office of the City Clerk, authorized to officiate at marriage ceremonies anywhere withing the 5 boroughs of New York City. I am open to gay and lesbian couples of any or no faith in solemnizing your legal marriage.
If you're thinking of a wedding this summer or fall - spiritual or purely civil - consider writing to discuss how I can be of help to you. Whatever you'd like to design for your day, I can make happen.
Documentation available of valid ordination from Rome (if you read Latin and require it), and of official registration as a wedding officiant in New York City.
