"God is love"
-from 1 John 4:8
When two people express their love and commitment to each other before God and the world, it should be a day to remember for the rest of their lives. But how can such a day be so memorable if each couple's wedding is so similar to everyone else's? This is where I offer my services.
My goal is to make one of the happiest days of your lives truly that. I will work with you to develop a ceremony to be remembered for generations. Imagine a wedding on the beach with decorations inspired by family heirlooms or with a theme based on your passions. Anything you'd like to incorporate within reason will become my duty.
How it Works:
I will interview the couple together to design a memorable wedding, then sit with each of you separately to come up with special elements you'd each like to inocorporate for that extra mile of personalization. If the couple so wishes it, I can do the same with family members to make it an occasion the whole family can enjoy and remember for years to come.
Costs:
My rates will be fairly determined in a meeting before my services are officially employed based on the structure of the ceremony, whether or not there is a rehearsal, location, the extent of personalization you would request, and any forseen recompensation for things like gas and other necessary expenses (gas will not be too large a consideration, as I drive an economy/commuter car). Your general funds will also be a deciding factor, as I understand not everyone (myself included) is as financially stable as others. My services include designing the ceremony, presiding over the ceremony, officiating the marriage, and doing whatever physical labors I can within reason, so be aware that you will most likely need to pay unrelated expenses such as the rental of a location, decoration materials, fees of other participants in the event such as caterers, wedding attire rental/purchase, floral services, and other such elements which I do not provide. Working with me, you are your wedding planners unless you hire a professional, in which case I will work closely with them as well to plan and design the ceremony. All meetings should take place in person either in your home or a mutually agreed upon public setting such as a library, park, or restaurant. If you cannot meet in person, I can be contacted on Facebook (Robert Brochhausen), Skype (The Reverend Robert Brochhausen), or right here on The Monastery (Rev. Robert Brochhausen, http://ministers.themonastery.org/profile/JediPar).
I believe in ministers or officiants taking a proactive role in a couple's special day, as it is a day on which two souls become one in the eternal bond of matrimony. That is what I intend to do should you bless me with the opportunity to make your special day truly special.
