Rose Grove Ministries is a mobile ministry, registered as a business within the City of San Diego, whose ministers are ordained by both the Universal Life Church Headquarters, Modesto, California and Universal Life Church Ministries, Seattle, Washington. We are licensed to perform weddings across the United States, however a couple of states and counties would require us to have an established congregation and a bricks-and-mortar place of worship, so we are unable to officiate in these places. If we find that the place you wish to get married is within these small number of areas, we will, unfortunately, have to decline to perform your ceremony at this time. We are a non-denominational ministry who are able to conduct Secular, Pagan, Christian, Jewish and Interfaith ceremonies.
Rev. Dr. Christopher Boosey holds a Doctorate in Divinity h.c. He has studied theology for approximately 6 years and is working towards a double Doctorate in Ministry and Chaplaincy. His experience in the military in Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force during his time in the United Kingdom allows him to provide you with a controlled, secured ceremony, conducted with order and authority. As serious and solemn as a wedding may be, he believes that love is something to be shared with joy and light behavior; what makes your love delightful, silly, and quirky is just as important as the core values that pull you together.
Minister “Briar” Mary Boosey is also available for services. She is also ordained through the Universal Life Church and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre from San Diego State University. She is well-versed in public presence, speaking, and entertainment. She assists Christopher with his preparation and on-the-day activities and prefers officiating more laid-back and less traditional ceremonies.
Together, as with their marriage, they make a team that can cater for all of your needs for a wedding officiant. Rose Grove Ministries is currently also working towards expanding into the fields of event planning and event and religious security services.
We are proudly LGBTQ*, Kink and Poly-friendly and happy to conduct all manner of ceremonies, both legally recognized and non-legally recognized for these communities.
Our fees start at $150 for San Diego County, with increased fees to cover further distances, required overnight stays, additional filling, ceremony extras. If there is an issue with the cost for specific reasons, we are open to discuss if there is anything that can be done to reduce the cost or have a payment plan.
