  I have joined the pastoral care team at my church. I would like to see an area on the network to help those who may be doing this kind of work.

  As I am new to pastoral care, I cannot offer much information on the topic. I was looking for some information here, but found none.

  Listening and praying with a kind and open heart is the only option I have at present. Thanks

  Christchurchnashville.org has a hospital visitation guide available. Also there is Clinical Pastoral Education for hospital chaplain staff. I would suggest always knock first, short visits that go something like Hi, I’m Norm and I serve with the pastoral care team. Can I offer to pray with you or perhaps top off your water pitcher? Always have a business card to leave with them. Leave everyone in better shape than when you met them. I wish you a lot of luck in this new ministry.
